according to my son, jack means “swimmer”

At least that’s what he’s been telling people when he introduces himself!

I thought I’d take a quick break from posting sneak peeks and share a few photos of my beautiful family! Jack has been taking swimming lessons for the past two weeks and has gone from a terrified mess (standing on the side of the pool screaming, crying & wringing his hands, refusing to get in for fear of his face going in the water) to quite the confident little swimmer. Phillip and I are so very proud of him and this HUGE accomplishment. We owe a debt of gratitude to his teacher, Miss Laura, who has been an absolute miracle worker. She is the sweetest, most adorable girl and Jack has completely taken to her. I think she is quite smitten with him, too – and who could blame her?! Laura has been so patient with Jack and because of that (mixed with a pinch of persistence of course) he is a different child around the water! He still has two lessons left, thank goodness – I am not quite sure what he will do when he doesn’t get to see his beloved Miss Laura on a regular basis!

Today, Phillip and I took Jack to the pool to show off his “skills”, as he says. It was a little chilly and overcast but my boys braved it for me because of the great shooting conditions. I hope that one day Jack will be able to look back at these images and remember how proud he was of himself and how very proud we are of him!! I love you, sweet boy!
